Professor Nasir A. Quraishi is an academic Consultant Spine Surgeon and Honorary Professor based at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, UK. He works within an internationally recognised centre of excellence for spinal surgery and the largest teaching institution for spinal surgery in Europe.

Alongside his clinical practice treating conditions such as lower back pain, leg pain, sciatica and neck pain, Professor Quraishi has an established and respected medical-legal practice, providing independent expert opinion in spinal surgery.

Academic and Medico-Legal Expertise

Professor Quraishi is an award-winning international presenter and lecturer. He is the author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has delivered more than 200 lectures and presentations worldwide. His academic background underpins his medico-legal work, ensuring opinions are evidence-based, balanced and clearly reasoned.

During his surgical training, he completed a Master of Laws, with an honours thesis entitled Clinical Negligence and the Spine Surgeon. He also holds a PhD on Outcome and Health Related Quality of Life Following Surgery in Spinal Metastases.

Experience in Medical-Legal Reporting

Professor Quraishi has completed formal medico-legal and clinical negligence training and has over 15 years’ experience in medical-legal writing. His work includes instruction in complex spinal cases involving degenerative disease, trauma, tumours and complications following spinal surgery.
